Girls u13 Win the Cup
Congratulation to our girls u13 side as they won the Gwent County Girls League u13 cup at Rodny Parade on saturday in a 5-3 victory against Graig Villa Dino.
Poppy Baines gave the Stars lead after 11 minutes before GVD equalised just before the half hour mark. The scores were only level for 4 minutes before latayah Creese gave the stars the lead again and shirtly after the lead was doubled when a GVD player turned the ball into their own net.
The stars started the second half strongly and Latayah Creese scored her second of the game to give the stars a 3 goal advantage. With 8 minutes left on the clock GVD pulled one back to give them hope by 2 minutes later poppy Baines scored her second to restore the 3 goal lead. GVD scored a 3rd late on but it was the stars who were victorius on the day and brought the cup back to bus park
