๐Ÿ† Competition: JD Cymru South
๐Ÿ“… Date: 03/04/2026

The Stars travel to Ynys Park on Friday evening to take on league leaders Trefelin in what promises to be a demanding test against one of the divisionโ€™s standout sides.

Trefelin currently sit top of the table with just two games remaining and although promotion has already been secured, the title is still very much on the line. Two wins from their final fixtures would confirm them as champions and with this being their last home game of the season, they will be determined to finish strongly in front of their own supporters.

They come into the game in red-hot form, having secured an emphatic 8โ€“1 victory over Cwmbran Celtic on Monday night with Tyler Brock scoring five times in a dominant attacking display.

Trefelin have set the standard across the league this season, combining attacking firepower with defensive solidity. They are the highest scorers in the division with Luke Bowen and Tyler Brock both enjoying outstanding campaigns, netting 18 and 17 goals respectively as they continue their push for the golden boot. At the other end of the pitch they have been just as impressive, keeping 17 clean sheets, the best defensive record in the league.

The reverse fixture earlier in the season was a dramatic and hard fought encounter at Bush Park. Joseph Jones gave Trefelin the lead in the first half before Corey Jenkins levelled with 25 minutes remaining to give the Stars hope of taking something from the game. However, two late goals in stoppage time saw Trefelin claim all three points in a cruel finish for The stars.

The Stars head into the game with plenty still to play for, knowing that a victory would secure a top 10 finish. After a challenging run of fixtures in recent weeks, this presents another opportunity to test themselves against the very best in the league.

With this being our final away league fixture of the season, we will be determined to put in a strong, disciplined performance and finish our travels on a positive note. Facing the league leaders on their own ground is always a difficult task but the Stars will be looking to rise to the challenge and take something from the game.
