Bush Park Set For Major Upgrade

We are delighted to announce another major milestone in the development of Bush Park, with the club ready to start work on the installation of 500 lux floodlights. Work is expected to commence over the coming weeks, with the project scheduled to be completed by the end of November.

The project has been made possible thanks to vital funding and support from the Cymru Football Foundation through its Stadium Improvement Fund and Sport Wales through the Be Active Wales Fund.

We are incredibly grateful for their backing. Without investment programmes such as these, projects of this scale would simply not be possible for clubs. Their support is helping us continue to improve Bush Park, strengthen the long term future of the club and provide better facilities for our players, supporters and wider community.

Another huge step forward

The installation of floodlights represents one of the most significant developments at Bush Park in recent years and is another clear indication of the ambition we have for The club. There is no quick fix when it comes to developing a football club and its facilities. The grounds progress has been gradual with many projects being completed through an enormous amount of work behind the scenes by a small group of people.

Over recent years, that work has resulted in a huge transformation of Bush Park, including:

  • A full refurbishment of the clubhouse
  • Improved pitch drainage
  • New perimeter fencing
  • New pitchside barriers
  • New dugouts
  • A new 150-seat stand
  • Refurbished changing rooms
  • Significant investment in improving the playing surface

And now, floodlights.

For everyone connected with Treowen Stars, this is a huge moment. The improvements already completed have helped transform the facilities at Bush Park and the addition of floodlights will take the ground to another level.

Building a better Bush Park for our community

We want Bush Park to be a place that the local community is proud of and a ground where more people want to come and watch football.

Floodlights will create opportunities for football at Bush Park that we have simply not had before. We hope they will help us attract bigger crowds, create an even better matchday experience and allow us to strengthen the connection between the football club and the community around us.

Our ambition is to continue developing Treowen Stars both on and off the field, ensuring our facilities grow alongside the football club.

As we celebrate our centenary year, it feels particularly significant to be making an investment that will benefit the club, our players and our community for many years to come.

Thank you to our funding partners

We would once again like to place on record our sincere thanks to both the Cymru Football Foundation and sports wales for their support with these projects. Their investment in football and community facilities is making a genuine difference and we are extremely proud that Treowen Stars and Bush Park are benefiting from that support.

We would also like to thank everyone behind the scenes at the club who continues to give their time and expertise to drive these projects forward. Much of this work happens away from the pitch and often goes unseen but the progress made at Bush Park over the past few years speaks for itself.

There is still plenty of work ahead and we know that meaningful progress cannot happen overnight. However, the transformation of Bush Park over recent years demonstrates just how far the club has come. The installation of floodlights represents another huge step forward but We have further upgrades planned over the next three years as we continue to develop our facilities and create a ground that reflects the ambitions of The club.

The future at Bush Park is incredibly exciting — and this is another major step in that journey.
